MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATE, TECHNOLOGY ENTHUSIAST, CHAMPION OF ALLYSHIP

Kassandra Pierre is a champion of allyship.  As a peer, she has seen first hand the impact diverse spaces can have on individuals with disabilities, and she recognizes allyship as imperative to unlocking human and organizational potential.  

Kassandra’s work with youth and adults in education and mental health care settings fuels her ongoing mental health advocacy and has enabled her to empower many people to overcome personal and professional obstacles. Kassandra is a trained crisis Interventionist and has over fifteen years of experience in behavioral health direct care. She has facilitated support groups with the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), and has been trained in Mental Health First Aid, Non- Violent Crisis Intervention and Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention.

Kassandra’s professional background evidenced significant experience in technical assistance and governance in the nonprofit, public and private sectors. She is also a technology enthusiast and has developed a great interest in cybersecurity, data privacy, and cybercrime. She serves as the Chair of the Differently-Abled Committee for Blacks in Cybersecurity, as a member of CompTIA's Executive Council for Advancing Tech Talent and Diversity, and was recently appointed a Squadron leader for the Cybersecurity Gatebreakers Foundation.

A self-defined lifelong learner, Kassandra is currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, strengthening her yoga practice, spending time with her dog, and expanding her vegetable garden.
