Barnaby Perks

Barnaby Perks joined Oxford VR as CEO in March 2018 to lead the company’s development of virtual reality-based psychological interventions for significant mental health problems.  He spent the previous seven years as founding CEO of Ieso Digital Health, building the company from clinical trial into the UK’s leading provider of live online cognitive behavioural therapy, delivering evidence-based mental health therapy services in multiple NHS contracts and to Medicaid patients in the US.  Prior to this, Barnaby built several companies developing assistive technologies for people with complex special needs.  He also spent seven years in global product commercialisation roles at GE’s geospatial asset management software business.  Through his consulting business, Tentsmuir Ltd, Barnaby provides practical support for digital health businesses, such as Cambridge University spinout Psyomics, where he is a non-executive director.  Barnaby holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics and an MSc in Biomedical Engineering, both from the University of Dundee.
